Café Mountain is an English brand dedicated to creating Well Balanced Leisure Goods.
We design and manufacture high quality and long lasting garments, accessories and lifestyle products that bring you closer to nature.
Our collections gives nod to the slower things in life, with Music, Art, Craft and Nature itself, being our continuous source of inspiration.
Taking cues from classic styles and utilising time tested, traditional construction techniques and manufacturing practices, our goal is to create garments made with integrity and a sense of timelessness.

Origins

Café Mountain was founded in 2021 in the North East of England, by designer Lewis Wilson.
Inspired by the diversity of the local landscape and the lifestyle that surrounds it, we sought to create a cohesiveness within our wardrobe that would translate between both nature and the city with ease. Initially launching with a small collection made by a local micro-factory and partnering with independent makers.
The brand has quickly gained a devoted following for its considered design and brand philosophy; a following that has allowed us to delve deeper into what we do and push each collection to new heights, through material, design and manufacturing exploration and research.

With an approach that favours quiet confidence over brashness, Café Mountain stands apart from a crowded space, offering low key, detail driven menswear options that are designed to serve the wearer, not just for one of two seasons, but for many years to come.

Material Matters

Material is arguably the heart of every garment, which is why we put so much time and resource into scouring the globe for the most characterful and highest quality fabrics and trims we can get our hands on. Majority of our fabric is sourced from Japan, Italy, UK and beyond, with trims often specially made for us by our tight knit community of local makers.
Inspired by long lasting vintage garments of the past, we mostly create products from natural fibres like cotton, wool and linen, avoiding synthetics where possible.

Craftsmanship and Manufacturing

Finding joy and interest in the story of manufacturing and clothing, alongside our deep fondness for fabrication, we have set out on a world wide pursuit to find quality factories and specialist makers to produce our clothing, accessories and products.
We favour makers with heritage and a distinct appreciation of craft, working with artisans makers in India, knitwear experts in the UK, long standing jersey making institutes in Canada and beyond. We pride ourselves on working with specialist partners for select product where specific skills, heritage and technology make each partner an expert in their field, allowing us to create the highest quality of items.
