For AW25, Café Mountain and Norbit by Hiroshi Nozawa have worked together to create a ‘2-in-1’ Layered Down Jacket that tastefully pairs Hiroshi’s design language with the world of Café Mountain.

Headed up by pioneering Japanese designer Hiroshi Nozawa, Norbit aims to showcase the beauty of functional design. Drawing direct inspiration from a breadth of natural environments - from the calm and tranquil to the harsh and unforgiving - resulting in garments defined by purposeful detail and quiet versatility.

In an era where outdoor brands often lean on technical gimmicks and overcomplication, we found an immediate kinship in Norbit’s approach – with shared values in functionality that earns its keep; details that are there for a reason, not just for attention. A shared interest in slowing down, stepping outside, and designing with intention sits at the heart of this collaboration.

The jacket reimagines an Old English-style fishing jacket through the lens of Hiroshi, harmoniously balancing heritage cues with considered utility. Every element serves a purpose: ease of movement, protection from the elements, and the kind of pocket layout that rewards curiosity and preparation in equal measure. The outer shell sets the foundation: a boxy, structured layer cut from durable Solotex fabric, built to hold its shape and withstand the unpredictabilities of the everyday. A clean collar, detachable hood and shaped chin guard keep things controlled when the wind turns, offering protection without unnecessary fuss.

Inside, a lightweight, down-filled full-length liner locks in warmth without bulk, finished in subtle two-tone nylon and detailed with oversized pockets and a secure front flap closure.
