Autumn Winter '26
For Autumn Winter '26 we returned to our roots, using nature as both our inspiration and backdrop. We've walked Simonside Hills of Northumberland, England many a time so it only felt right to shoot here, a personal favourite to visit on off days.
The colder months have brought heavier cloth and textured wool blends into the collection, along with a handful of new washes we’ve had in the works for a while, from the mud wash on the Ideal Jacket to the mineral washes on featured across our latest shirting.
The Ideal Jacket is new this season and the first piece we’ve built from a single piece upper, cut from a mud washed Japanese 70/30 cotton nylon blend with six pockets in total. The Telemark Mountain Jacket has been with us for a few seasons now, having begun life as a pullover smock inspired by the military and mountaineering jackets that came out of Scandinavia in the 1960s, and this season it returns in a Japanese 60/40 cotton nylon blend in Black and Moss.
The day also gave us our first proper look at the Casentino Wool Jacket out in the open, ahead of its arrival later this month. Its cloth is woven at a family-run mill in Stia, the Tuscan town where Casentino cloth has been made since the Middle Ages, and it is still finished with the curled nap the cloth has always been known for.
Under the outerwear, the Johnson Crew Knit and the Knitted Polo are made from 100% Scottish wool by a maker in Scotland who has been at it for just shy of a hundred years. Everything is made there, from the yarn to the finished garment, and each piece is brushed at the end, which you come to appreciate on a morning like that one.
Against the rust of the bracken, the shirting brought the brightest colour to the day, led by the Crazy Azure Patchwork Shirt, whose Indian cotton patchwork is hand cut and laid out by eye so that no two shirts quite match. Shirting has become one of our most popular categories, which I put down to the fit and to the time we spend finding the cloth, and the Heritage Shirt returns this season as the Tumble Check Heritage Shirt and the Heirloom Cotton Heritage Shirt in Rose, a Japanese cotton linen blend finished with a mineral wash we’re using for the first time.
We were back at the car by mid-afternoon, and the photographs say the rest better than I can. The full Autumn/Winter ’26 collection is on the website now, and if you’re passing the shop in Newcastle, you’re very welcome to come and try it on over a coffee.
